Steam Wallpaper Stripper
Electric wallpaper steamers provide a quicker and easier way of removing wallpaper from walls than any manual method. They offer a much more practical and efficient alternative to the tedious process of removing wallpaper with a sponge and warm water. 240v machines, they can be used at home and plugged directly into a domestic mains socket, so they are ideal for DIY at home and professional decorators, but 110v machines need a transformer or site supply. These wallpaper steamers are very simple to prepare and operate. The wallpaper stripping machine produces steam which quickly penetrates the wallpaper, loosens the adhesive holding the paper to the wall, and makes it much easier to remove large sections at a time using a scraper.
Before using the steam wallpaper stripper, read the manual carefully and make yourself aware of the power switch location, so you can quickly turn the machine off if necessary. Do not try to overreach with the steam plate, and be wary that, during use, steam will re-condense and collect in the bottom of the plate, so take care not to spill this over yourself or others. It is also important to wear goggles and protective clothing when operating the stripper, to avoid injury. Take care not to let the hot plate touch skin and be careful when removing wallpaper, as the steam plate will have heated it. We advise users to keep windows open in the room they are working on to allow proper ventilation. Also, keep furniture, fittings and floors covered.
