Practical Waste Management

You can use 8-yard open skips to get rid of general mixed and garden waste from any site. These open-topped containers are perfect for construction sites and large domestic and commercial clearances. They are roughly the size of a large family car and fit in large driveways or yards.

These waste containers are the industry standard. They are made from reinforced steel plate, strength and robustness and are painted yellow for visibility. They measure 5foot 7inch wide, 4foot high, and 11foot in length, with the capacity to hold 8 tons of soil pile or 60 to 80 bin bags. All the skips we supply have a lower side for loading and lugs for easy loading and transportation.

How To Book

Click 'Book Online' and select the dates you need. Next, you have to choose between a mixed waste and garden waste fill. We cannot supply your skip unless you have chosen and paid for a fill. Please review what is and is not permitted in each waste fill, as disposing of non-permitted materials and items can result in additional costs.

Permitted Mixed Waste

With a general mixed waste fill, you can put the following in a skip of any size:

Household waste (typical waste you'd put in your local bin). Scrap metal. Bricks. Dry waste. Wood. Plastic. Hardcore. Paper. Concrete. Mattresses. Glass.

Permitted Garden Waste

With a garden waste fill, you can dispose of the following:

Grass. Leaves. Twigs. Weeds. Soil. Turf. Lawn. Logs. Gravel. Bricks. Paving slabs.

Non-Permitted Waste

You cannot put the following into a skip with a mixed waste or garden waste fill:

Aerosols. Asbestos. Batteries. Degassed white goods (fridges and freezers). Oil or fuel. Tyres. Medical waste. Light tubes. Hazardous waste. Liquids. Paint. Tumble dryers. Microwaves. Explosives. Fire extinguishers. Fire damaged waste. Food waste. Human or animal waste. Electronic waste (Televisions, monitors, laptops). Gas bottles. Plasterboard (small quantities might be allowed).
