Chip Away at Stumps in Confined Spaces
Mini tree stump grinder hire provides a fast, efficient, and professional way of removing stumps from the ground in smaller or confined areas. As these machines are more compact, they are perfect for tree stump removal in gardens, yards, allotments, and other small plots of land that might not have much space for a larger model. You can fold the handles down to fit the machine into the back of a car, or to access narrow spaces.
This stump grinder features a 6hp petrol engine that powers a sharp blade on a rotating wheel. The blade rotates at great speed to chip away at tree stumps quickly. They leave a pile of fine chips which you can rake together and collect for compost, or pick up using a vacuum or blower machine. These professional machines take away the need to laboriously dig below the stump or hack at it with an axe to remove it. This stump chipper can grind up to 250mm below the ground level surface. The unique side discharge chassis keeps the majority of the cutting away from the cutting head giving you a clearer line of vision of the stump you are grinding.

No Harmful or Dangerous Chemicals
Using a grinder machine is more environmentally friendly than using chemicals to kill a tree stump. Using a stump grinder, you remove the stump from the ground by tackling the roots first. You should grind across the roots in a sweeping action, angling the machine so that it grinds 1” down from the top of the roots. Then sweep back across the roots, at 1” lower than the first pass. Repeat until you have cleared all the roots. Once done, the trunk should then be approached in the same way, sweeping across the trunk, grinding 1.5” down each time until the stump has been removed.
Please note: These machines are fitted with chip deflectors which help to prevent wood chips from flying into you and causing injury. You must also wear full safety equipment when using the machine. A hard hat, protective visor, heavy-duty gloves, and ear defenders are recommended.
