125mm PPR Pipe Socket Fusion Welder Hire Hot Plate Kit This PPR pipe socket fusion welder machine is designed for joining PP, PPR, PE, HDPE, PVDF pipes together using injection moulded fittings. Socket fusion welding and PPR pipe is mainly used for the distribution of hot and cold water and is used within the plumbing industry, although it can be useful for other trades and in mechanical systems. This fusion welder features a PTFE coated hot plate which is designed to be used with socket fusion welding blocks, which consist of a socket and spigot end. Different welding blocks can be used for welding different sized pipes, and this model is suitable for plastic pipes up to 125mm. You insert a section of pipe into the socket of the welding block and insert the matching pipe fitting over the spigot so that they are perfectly aligned. The hot plate then heats up - the thermostat is adjustable and can reach temperatures of up to 300°C. As the hot plate heats up the welding block, the welding block heats the outer surface of the plastic pipe and the inside surface of the fitting. Both sections are heated for a period of time before you remove them from the welding block and push the pipe directly into the fitting. As the heated surfaces of the 2 sections cool down, they form a robust and reliable weld. This is a fast, easy, and secure method of fusing piping to sockets, providing a solid, high-quality joint. The fusion welder also comes with a bench and fork adapter, protective transport case, and extension handle.
