Welders use extremely high heat to melt sections that are then pressed together. As the melted sections cool down, they fuse, creating a reliable join. We also have portable gas torch kits for oxy-fuel cutting and brazing - including oxy-propane torch kits and oxy-acetylene kits. Brazing joins metals by melting and flowing a filler metal into the joint. Brazing is very effective when joining dissimilar metals. As long as the filler material is metallurgically compatible with both base metals and melts at a lower temperature, brazing can create strong joints with barely any alteration of the base metal properties.
